These terms cover the use of this website. They have nothing to do with the terms of any gambling operator — those are between you and the operator, and we are not a party to them.

What you are getting

Art Weekender publishes explanatory articles about the security engineering behind online gambling platforms. The material is general information for adults. It is not legal advice, not financial advice, not a security assessment of any named company, and not a recommendation to gamble or to use any particular operator.

Articles are accurate to the best of our understanding on the date shown, and the sourcing rules are published on How We Research. They are not warranted to be complete or current: technical standards are revised, registers are updated and operators change their systems without announcing it. Verify anything you intend to act on against the primary source, which the article will normally link to.

What you agree to

• You are old enough to be reading about gambling where you live — 18 in most places, 21 in some.
• You will not use this site to break the law, and you will check for yourself whether online gambling is lawful where you are.
• You will not attempt to disrupt, probe, scrape at volume, or gain unauthorised access to this site or its hosting. Nothing here should need saying on a security site, but it is said.
• You will not copy substantial parts of the articles and republish them. Quoting a passage with attribution and a working link back is welcome; wholesale reproduction is not.

Limits of responsibility

The site is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of error, and to the extent the law allows we are not liable for loss arising from your use of it — including gambling losses, decisions taken on the basis of an article, or anything that happens on a site you reached through a link from here.

Links out

Linking to a regulator, a testing house, a standards body or an operator is not an endorsement of it. Some outbound links are commercial, which is disclosed in full on Funding and Links. Once you leave this site, the other party’s terms and privacy policy apply, not ours.

Complaints about an operator

We cannot mediate a dispute with a gambling company, chase a withdrawal or reopen an account. Those go to the operator’s complaints procedure, then to its regulator or the dispute-resolution body named in its terms; the reasoning is on Licences and Regulators.
