The disclosure, without hedging

Some outbound links on this site are commercial. Where an article links to a gambling operator, a comparison site or a partner publication, assume that link may earn Art Weekender a commission or a fee if you follow it and go on to register or deposit. You pay nothing extra either way; the payment, where there is one, comes out of the other party’s marketing budget.

We are not going to tell you that every link here is purely editorial. That claim is made constantly in this industry and it is usually false. If you want to treat every outbound link on this site as potentially paid, that is a reasonable default and we would rather you applied it than took our word for a distinction you cannot verify.

What money does not buy

• Coverage. No one can pay to have an article written, and no one has.
• A favourable conclusion. Articles do not soften a finding because a commercial relationship exists, and the site publishes no scores or rankings that could be sold in the first place.
• Removal. A critical passage is not taken down because a company asks. It is corrected if it is wrong — see Fixing Mistakes — and left alone if it is right.
• Editorial sign-off. No advertiser, partner or affiliate network sees an article before it is published.

Why this matters more on a security site than most

The subject here is trust: whether an operator’s technical claims hold up. A site making that argument while quietly taking money from the companies it is describing has a problem it needs to be honest about rather than a secret it needs to keep. Our answer is the method rather than a promise — the rule on How We Research that separates what is verifiable from public sources from what is merely asserted by the operator. That rule is checkable by you, line by line, in a way that a declaration of independence is not.

External links

Links to regulators, testing houses, standards bodies and support services — the UK Gambling Commission, GAMSTOP, GamCare and their equivalents — are never commercial and never will be. Nobody pays to be cited as a source, and no support organisation pays to be listed on Knowing When to Stop.

Other revenue

The site runs no display advertising network, publishes no sponsored posts, and sells no data. If that changes, this page changes with it, before the revenue starts rather than after.

A reminder about what you are being linked to
